The role
Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Teacher of Drama for an immediate start in the academic year 2026. The key task is to deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve the best possible outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
- Organise classroom provision and learning resources, creating displays that encourage a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Plan, prepare and present sessions that cater for the full ability range within the class.
- Motivate pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.
- Observe and assess children in line with school assessment procedures.
- Take responsibility for the progress of a class and meet requirements for assessment and recording of student development.
- Use assessment data to influence further planning, provision and intervention.
- Provide feedback to parents and carers on student progress.
- Follow the school behaviour policy and manage classes effectively to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating the attitudes, values and behaviour expected of pupils.
- Support the wider life and ethos of the school, including running a weekly ECA each term.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student achievements and well-being.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification.
- Minimum 1β2 years of teaching experience.
- Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
- High level of professionalism and consideration for the well-being of children.
- Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
- Respect for all members of the school community, irrespective of position, gender, age or ethnic background.
- Positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or equivalent police clearance.
