The role

An outstanding Teacher - EYFS is required to join Yasmina British Academy for the Academic Year 2026/2027. Candidates must demonstrate secure knowledge of the English National Curriculum and a proven track record of raising standards and securing outstanding progress for all pupils. Leadership experience at a variety of levels and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential. The successful candidate will align closely with the school’s core values and demonstrate genuine understanding of the values of the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies and practices that reflect the school’s vision, aims and commitment to high standards of achievement and effective teaching and learning.
• Establish, monitor and evaluate short-, medium- and long-term plans for departmental development.
• Use data effectively to identify underachieving students and implement targeted plans of action.
• Analyse and interpret school data to inform policies and self-evaluation processes.
• Ensure appropriate schemes of work are in place, regularly reviewed and provide suitable provision for SEN/POD, G&T and EAL students.
• Guarantee curriculum coverage, continuity and progression for all students, including those of high ability and those with special educational needs.
• Set high expectations for staff regarding achievement, teaching quality and behaviour.
• Evaluate teaching and learning quality, identify effective practice and areas for improvement, and take action to raise standards further.
• Ensure the department contributes to the school’s CAS Programme and after-school booster and revision sessions.
• Performance-manage the team in line with school policy.
• Deploy staff and resources efficiently and maintain effective control of departmental budgets.
• Create an effective and stimulating teaching and learning environment in accordance with school policy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject together with a PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification.
• Minimum of six years’ teaching experience.
• Experience of the UK curriculum.
• Commitment to an extensive enrichment programme.
• Passionate and caring approach to education.
