About the school

Christ’s Hospital is a unique co-educational boarding school and charitable foundation based in Horsham. The school provides a first-class education to around 900 children from all backgrounds and is supported by more than 500 members of staff.

The role

Start September 2026 or January 2027. Fixed-term contract ending 31 August 2027.

We are seeking a part-time Teacher of Classics to join us on a fixed-term contract. This is an opportunity to teach Classical subjects to GCSE, and possibly A Level, students.

Requirements

• Well-qualified graduate with a passion for Classics and the ability to inspire young people.
• Formal teaching qualification not essential.
• Enthusiasm, subject expertise and a commitment to high-quality teaching.
• Creativity, innovation and the ability to engage pupils both within and beyond the classroom.
• Right to work in the UK.
