Teacher of Design, Technology & Engineering

The role

Dragon School seeks to appoint a well-qualified and dynamic teacher to teach Design, Technology & Engineering to Years 4-8. This is a rare opportunity for the right person to contribute to the future direction of the Design, Technology & Engineering curriculum, previously known as Design & Technology, and to help build on past success. The successful candidate will be considered for the position of Head of Design, Technology & Engineering from September 2027, with appropriate training provided as required.

The post does not carry responsibility for teaching Design, Technology & Engineering at the Pre-Prep (Reception to Year 3). The successful candidate will nevertheless be expected to maintain close contact with the Pre-Prep team to ensure continuity of provision.

Requirements

• Experience of teaching in a senior school, whether in the independent or maintained sector
• Experience of teaching children of prep school age (8-13 years)
• Suitable applicants or graduates from a related industry or field are also welcome
