Millfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Drama to join our vibrant Dance and Drama Department from September 2026. Our mission is to deliver a programme that celebrates the craft, skills and study of engaging, relevant and challenging theatre, encouraging all students to create, perform and understand.

The department is based in the Meyer Theatre building, home to a fully equipped 400-seat theatre supported by a Theatre Manager and Production Manager. Alongside this professional performance space, we offer two dedicated drama classrooms, a studio used for LAMDA and small‑scale work, and two purpose-built dance studios with sprung floors and full technical facilities. The department teaches GCSE Drama, GCSE Dance and A level Drama, with small class sizes and growing demand, complemented by an exciting co‑curricular programme that includes major productions, workshops, skills training, LAMDA and a vocational pathway for aspiring performers.

We are looking for an organised, dynamic and inspiring teacher who can deliver Drama up to A level and who brings a genuine passion for theatre, performance and drama education. The successful candidate will enjoy teaching a range of ages and abilities and will play an active part in our extensive co‑curricular programme.

Experience teaching Year 9 English and the ability to teach or coach Dance would be advantageous.

If you are committed to creative, ambitious Drama teaching and eager to contribute to a thriving, well‑resourced department, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Closing date: Noon on Wednesday 22nd April 2026.

Please note that applications will be considered on receipt, and as a result the vacancy may close early should an appointment be made. As such we would recommend submitting your application as soon as possible.
