The role

Applications are invited from well-qualified, committed and enthusiastic teachers to join an efficient, supportive and highly successful Economics and Business Studies department. The successful candidate will teach Economics at GCSE and A Level and ideally Business Studies at BTEC Level 3. There will also be an opportunity to apply for the vacant position of Deputy Head of the Economics and Business Studies Department. Applications from ECTs are welcome.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching of Economics at GCSE and A Level
  • Teach Business Studies at BTEC Level 3 where required
  • Contribute to the continued growth of student numbers in Economics
  • Support the department as required, including the possibility of deputy head responsibilities
  • Undertake cover for other classes when timetabled teaching periods fall below the standard loading of 22 out of 26

Requirements

  • Well-qualified teacher with the ability to teach Economics at GCSE and A Level
  • Ideally able to teach Business Studies at BTEC Level 3
  • Committed, enthusiastic and able to work collaboratively within a highly successful department
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply and will receive a supportive induction programme
