The English Department will be in the state-of-the-art classrooms based in our new build. The college currently offers successful GCSE and A Levels in both English Language and English Literature as separate specialist subjects. The Department engages in a wide variety of enrichment activities, encouraging students to enter 'young writers’ competitions, Journalism Internship, Book Club and the Feminist Society.
We have invaluable links with English Departments in leading universities and local schools as well as organising guest speakers from subject specialists such as eminent linguist Professor David Crystal and numerous careers talks, including BBC broadcast journalism and speech and language therapy.
The post may suit an experienced schoolteacher or a practitioner from an FE background. We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers and candidates looking to take their first steps into teaching who are able to demonstrate the necessary skills and enthusiasm for the post.

Salary: Teacher PT 1-9 (£33,465 - £51,714) Suitable for Early Career Teaching, depending on qualifications and experience.
