About the school

Eden Boys’ Leadership Academy, Manchester is a Muslim faith-based secondary school for boys, which welcomes pupils from all faiths and none. The school opened in Cheetham Hill in 2017 and moved to a new state-of-the-art campus in 2019. Like all Star schools, it has a leadership specialism.

The school was rated ‘Good’ overall by Ofsted during its first inspection in November 2021. In January 2026, the school was inspected under Ofsted’s new framework and ‘report card’ grading system and was awarded ‘Exceptional’ in three areas and ‘Strong standard’ in the remaining three areas.

The school provides a knowledge-based academic curriculum alongside a rich and diverse leadership programme that grows character and inspires charitable and social action. Its pursuit of educational excellence is based upon the belief that every pupil has the capacity to become a successful and inspirational leader.

The role

We are seeking an outstanding Teacher of Geography with a proven track record of success and raising pupil outcomes. As a Star teacher, you will join the Star Academies family, a high-performing and supportive network of primary and secondary schools.

The successful candidate will deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning. You will demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils and be passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.

Proposed start date: Friday, 1 January 2027.

Requirements

• A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
• The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
• Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
• Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners.
