Full time hours – Fixed term for one academic year

We are seeking a knowledgeable, passionate and creative geography teacher to join our team for one academic year from September 2026. Geography is taught as a compulsory subject at Key Stage 3 and is a popular GCSE and A Level option.  A level teaching has traditionally been split between physical and human geography with two teachers, while at GCSE one teacher typically takes each group.

Geography at St Swithun's is taught by a small, dynamic and committed team. Who firmly believe that geography cannot be studied without getting out into the real world, and fieldwork is an essential part of its study. In the lower school there are excursions every year, and at GCSE and A level there is the opportunity to undertake residential fieldwork. The geography department has also been at the heart of organising several major oversees excursions and we are always planning new adventures.

The closing date for applications is 9am, Monday 20 April 2026.

We will consider applications as they are received and reserve the right to appoint before the closing date.
