The role
DCG seeks an enthusiastic and inspiring Maths Teacher to join the Cross-College delivery team. The successful candidate will support learners across GCSE and Functional Skills Maths, primarily teaching the 16β19 cohort. The post has a provisional interview date of Monday 10th August 2026 and a start date of either September 2026 or January 2027, depending on notice period.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in GCSE Maths, with some Functional Skills Maths.
- Support students from a wide range of educational backgrounds.
- Apply effective behaviour management strategies and a supportive teaching approach across multiple curriculum areas.
Requirements
- Degree in Maths.
- Recognised Level 5 or Level 6 teaching qualification such as PGCE or CertEd, or working towards completion.
- Experience teaching GCSE Maths is essential.
- Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths is desirable.
- Enthusiastic, flexible and innovative approach with a passion for supporting students to achieve their full potential.
