The role

Thistley Hough Academy seeks an enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join its dedicated team. The successful candidate will be passionate about the subject, committed to delivering high-quality lessons, and driven to help every student succeed. The Maths Department plays a central role in the school’s ambitious, knowledge-led curriculum, placing strong emphasis on ensuring that all pupils secure firm foundations in Mathematics. The department fosters mathematical confidence, resilience, and curiosity, ensuring that every learner, regardless of starting point, has the opportunity to succeed and thrive.

Salary: MPS/UPS £32,916 - £51,048
Start Date: September 2026 (later start date will be considered)
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full time (32.5 hours)

Requirements

• Qualified teacher status.
• Expertise in planning the progression of subject skills within individual lessons and across sequences of learning.
• A strong ability to apply successful and robust behaviour management strategies.
