The role
Prendergast School seeks an enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join on a fixed-term basis until August 2027. The post is advertised as 0.6 fte on Inner London MPR or UPR, pro-rata, although the school is happy to discuss alternative work patterns between 0.4 fte and 0.8 fte for suitable candidates. The successful teacher will deliver Maths across KS3 to KS5 and support the growing cohort of A-Level students. Applications from ECTs are welcome.
Key responsibilities
- Teach Maths effectively across all age and ability ranges from KS3 to KS5
- Raise the achievement of all students through high-quality classroom practice
- Play a full part in the life of the school and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Participate in the school’s appraisal policy, including appraising colleagues where required
Requirements
- Qualified teacher status with the ability to teach Maths to KS5
- Proven ability to raise student achievement across a range of ages and abilities
- Commitment to working collaboratively within a strong departmental team
- Willingness to engage fully in the wider life of the school
