About the school

The Corsham School is part of a small Multi Academy Trust serving the market town of Corsham and surrounding villages. It is situated in North Wiltshire, on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, 8 miles from Bath and within easy reach of the M4. The role

The Corsham School Academy Group seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and inspirational teacher of Music to join an experienced team led by a curriculum team leader. The successful candidate will be a dynamic practitioner who models excellent practice, places students’ progress at the forefront of their teaching and delivers high quality learning experiences for all students. The post offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the school.

The Music department offers Music at GCSE and A level with strong take-up at A level. The department enjoys close relationships with Real World Studios, the Pound Arts centre and WOMAD, and learners have opened the WOMAD festival as part of an ensemble. A successful partnership with the Drama department results in an annual whole-school show featuring full orchestration and choir. Music enjoys a high profile in the school, with students performing in assemblies and at open evenings.
