The role

Amity International School - Abu Dhabi seeks a well-qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Science with a specific focus on Physics at GCSE and A Level. Experience of BTEC Applied Science is an advantage. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the premier co-educational international schools in the city due to expansion in the senior school and increased demand for places. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional teaching that results in high student attainment through the practices and principles of positive education, and will show experience and a willingness to expand science outside the classroom. The start date for this position is August 2026.

Requirements

• Well-qualified with the ability to teach Physics at GCSE and A Level.
• Experience of BTEC Applied Science is an advantage.
• Demonstrated exceptional teaching practice that delivers high student attainment.
• Willingness to expand science outside the classroom.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
• Successful completion of child protection screening, a current police criminal check or equivalent, and provision of a minimum of two references, at least one from the Head Teacher or Principal of the most recent school.
