About the school

St Joseph’s College has a proud history of strong results within the Sciences. Science is taught as a combined subject at KS3 and then as separate subjects at GCSE and A-Level. Approximately 25% of the GCSE cohort follow the Triple Science option route at GCSE, with the rest following the combined science award. At A-Level, all Sciences attract at least one class set of students in both the Lower and Upper Sixth.

The role

St Joseph’s College seeks to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Physics. The successful candidate will support the Head of Science in ensuring high standards of delivery of the subject at KS3, KS4 and KS5.

Requirements

  • Dynamic and inspiring teacher with a proven track record of excellent teaching
  • Experience of teaching Physics at A-Level
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Willingness to undertake child protection screening, including an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service
