The role

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Psychology to join our successful Sixth Form on a part-time maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will teach Psychology across the Sixth Form, planning and delivering lessons that challenge and support pupils of varying abilities and ensure all students achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, dynamic and academically rigorous teaching in Psychology to Sixth Form students.
• Plan and deliver lessons that challenge and support pupils of varying abilities.
• Contribute to the continued development of the Psychology curriculum and create innovative learning resources.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure excellent outcomes for students.
• Foster intellectual curiosity and encourage students to engage critically with psychological theories, research and contemporary issues.
• Play an active role in the wider life of the boarding school community, including pastoral care and the co-curricular programme.
• Undertake tutorial responsibilities, support a boarding house and participate in a small number of evening and weekend duties each term.
