The role

Chigwell School is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Psychology to join its thriving Sixth Form provision. This is a part-time position required from September 2026.

The successful candidate will teach Psychology at Key Stage 5 and contribute to all aspects of the department's work, both inside and outside the classroom. Whether an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher, the postholder will be passionate about Psychology and committed to delivering high-quality teaching that motivates and challenges students to achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

Requirements

• Well-qualified with excellent subject knowledge in Psychology
• Enthusiastic and committed to high-quality teaching
• Passionate about Psychology and able to motivate students
• Suitable for experienced teachers or Early Career Teachers
• Willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with previous employers and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
