The role

This is a one-year maternity cover position expected to commence in November or December 2026, subject to confirmation. The provisional interview date is the week commencing 24 August 2026.

You will deliver high-quality, engaging Psychology teaching that motivates students to achieve and progress from their starting points. Working flexibly across a range of delivery modes, you will create stimulating resources, embed information learning technology, and support both academic and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, engaging Psychology teaching across A-Level and BTEC programmes.
• Track student progress closely and provide effective feedback to promote high expectations and strong outcomes.
• Support student wellbeing, equality, retention, achievement and positive progression.
• Develop stimulating resources and use IT systems confidently to enhance learning.

Requirements

• Recent experience delivering A-Level and/or BTEC Psychology with a proven track record of driving student achievement.
• A relevant degree and a recognised teaching qualification.
• Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and time-management skills, with confident use of IT systems including MS Office.
• Adaptability and comprehensive knowledge across Psychology topics.
