Alvaston Moor Academy is located in Derby and forms part of Archway Learning Trust. The school provides high-quality pastoral care, as recognised by Ofsted in 2023. Almost 70 per cent of pupils qualify for pupil premium funding. Since joining the Trust in 2021, the school has made sustained progress on its improvement journey, with the aim of becoming one of the very best schools in the country and delivering on the potential of every child in the community.

The role

We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Teacher of Science to join Alvaston Moor Academy. The successful candidate will be passionate about engaging students, nurturing curiosity and developing scientific knowledge, understanding and enquiry skills. The role focuses on delivering high-quality lessons that inspire a love of science, encourage critical thinking and problem-solving, and ensure every student can achieve their full potential.
