The role
We are seeking an outstanding Primary Teacher to join Yasmina British Academy in August 2026. The successful candidate will possess secure knowledge of the English National Curriculum and a proven track record of raising standards and securing outstanding progress for all pupils. Leadership experience at a variety of levels and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement departmental policies that reflect the school’s vision and commitment to high standards of achievement and effective teaching and learning.
- Establish, monitor and evaluate short-, medium- and long-term plans for departmental development.
- Use data effectively to identify underachieving pupils and implement targeted action plans to support their progress.
- Analyse and interpret school data to inform policies and contribute to the school self-evaluation process.
- Ensure appropriate schemes of work are in place, regularly reviewed and inclusive of provision for pupils with special educational needs, gifted and talented pupils, and those learning English as an additional language.
- Guarantee curriculum coverage, continuity and progression for all pupils.
- Set high expectations for staff regarding achievement, teaching quality and pupil behaviour.
- Evaluate the quality of teaching and learning and take action to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure the department contributes to the school’s enrichment programme and after-school support sessions.
- Lead performance management in line with school policy and manage departmental resources and budgets efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject together with a PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification.
- Minimum of six years’ teaching experience.
- Experience delivering the UK curriculum.
- Commitment to an extensive enrichment programme.
- Passionate and caring approach to education.
