The role
Park School seeks a Teaching Assistant to join the team on a permanent, term-time basis plus training days, starting August 2026. The position is based at the school in Chipping Norton and offers a salary of £22,160.62 per annum for 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
The successful candidate will support pupils with SEMH needs and/or Autism, helping them develop confidence, independence and curiosity through tailored learning experiences. The role involves close collaboration with experienced teachers and support staff in a rewarding and varied environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one or small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs and/or Autism.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging activities that promote curiosity and progress.
- Lead small-group sessions and support targeted one-to-one interventions.
- Offer emotional, social and practical support to help pupils navigate school life.
- Contribute to a safe, welcoming and positive learning environment.
- Support outdoor learning, enrichment activities and personal development initiatives.
Requirements
- GCSE English and Mathematics at Level 4/C or equivalent.
- Adaptable and proactive, with the ability to support pupils across a variety of settings.
- Caring and patient, with a genuine interest in helping young people thrive.
- Team-focused and collaborative, with a willingness to learn and engage in professional development.
