Transition Support Tutor (High Wycombe)
About the school
New Meaning Training is an alternative education provider dedicated to helping young people aged 15–25 discover their strengths and develop the confidence and skills to earn their own living. For the 2025–2026 academic year, approximately 300 young people from Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands and Berkshire will join one of the programmes. Many students are referred by secondary schools, pupil referral units and special educational needs settings.
The organisation began in 2015 with its first centre in High Wycombe. It continues to grow, with new centres opening in Nuneaton and Milton Keynes in September 2025. Programmes include Construction Multiskills, Motor Mechanics, Sports, Hair & Beauty, Computing, Childcare, Catering and Boost Workskills. All incorporate functional skills qualifications in Maths and English. The provider also offers a Transition Support programme for young people with EHCPs who are not yet ready for a formal learning setting. Programmes are tailored to meet the needs of learners with SEND and SEMH requirements, applying the principles of a Loving Care Approach (Trauma-Informed Practice).
